Budget and Enrollment Tables and Charts

The information presented in the tables and charts below was obtained from the Canterbury, CT Superintendent of Schools and publicly available documents.

****The table below was edited on 2/10/17 at 3:00PM EST to reflect and inconsistency in how the budget was reported.  This information for the table was provided by the superintendent's office.  However, there are three ways of starting the budget.

 1. The approved budget voted on by the town in April.  The includes funds from the town and the ECS.
2. The approved budget PLUS additional federal and private grants.  When we first included this table, some cells reflected the amount from #1 and some from #2, which was an incorrect form of reporting.
3. The audited budget calculated after 6/30 of the fiscal year.  This is how much was actually spent by the school that year.  It can be higher or lower than either the approved budget from #1 or from #2.  Historically in Canterbury, the school system has returned unused funds to the town each year.

We will work to make a table with all three ways of referring to the budget for comparison.
